Novaković: We keep our promises

We want to show respect for our political opponents even though we do not agree with them. We want a debate and not to attack each other continuously. We want to trust each other – and more important – the politicians to keep their promises, said the leader of the party ‘I choose Bar’ [in Montenegrin: Biram Bar], which today got a new name – ‘I choose Montenegro’ [in Montenegrin: Biram Crnu Goru] , Mr Radomir Novaković Cakan.

According to this party, their first election Congress, compared to the majority of other parties who hold congresses behind closed doors, was completely open and attended by many citizens, not just Bar residents.

Vice-presidents of the party were appointed at the Congress as well, and both are women – Ms Darinka Milošević and Ms Irina Dabović. There are eight members of the Presidency, director of the party is Mr Ćazim Alković, and members of the Statutory Commission and the Supervisory Board of the party were also appointed.

On the party’s name-change, Mr Novaković said: “We will be trying to make a step forward as of today. We want to do for Montenegro the same we did in Bar. To make another surprise. Are we going to succeed in the parliamentary elections? I don’t know, but we have to try.”
