Nuhodžić: Around 2,000 immigrants prevented from entering MNE

From August 2018 to December 2018, mixed patrols of the National Police and the Army of Montenegro prevented around 2,000 individuals to enter Montenegro, interior affairs minister Mevludin Nuhodžić told when commenting on the protection of the state border from illegal crossings and cross-border crime.

Mr Nuhodžić visited the picket Krenza at the border with Albania together with defense minister, Mr Predrag Bošković and stressed: “We saw that the members of the Police and the Army performed the affairs professionally, respecting all the regulations and rules of behavior towards immigrants.”

Minister Bošković underlined that the joint patrol of the Army and the Policy along the part of the border represented an example of effective cooperation between the two institutions, with an aim of ensuring safety and security of all the citizens and the territory of Montenegro.

“Today Minister Nuhodžić and I visited the whole region, and not just the part of our border but the complete part spreading from the border with Kosovo to the border with Albania, and clearly saw that the Army and the Police have been jointly working to fully secure and prevent surge of illegal immigration,” Mr Bošković emphasized.
