In an interview with the local Vijesti TV, transport minister, Osman Nurković, says the government is to discuss the future of Montenegro Airlines (MA) as soon as vacations finish.
After this session, final decision on future functioning of the national airline will be made ASAP.
“In 2017-18, MA achieved satisfactory final results and we generated significant profit when compared to previous years. I’m sure we’ll come up with some plan. We won’t scramble to keep something that doesn’t bring any benefit to the country,” Nurković made a point.
If you ask him, it’s useless pointing a finger at anybody for debts of MA.
He said: “We won’t get anything even if we catch people responsible for company’s debts. Maybe they were forced to do so in order to earn some money and make this company function. I mean, I don’t know…they must have wrongly assessed the real costs.”
