One of MA directors resigns, Revenue Administration seeks bankruptcy

Arhiva

Director of technical aircraft maintenance at Montenegro Airlines (MA) Ivan Petrović has resigned from that position on 9 March. In his resignation, he clearly rejects the responsibility and obligation to maintain the aircraft of the former national airline, which will be used by the new company ToMontenegro, Dnevne Novine has learnt.

Vijesti reports that the Commercial Court has received a letter from the Revenue Administration for initiating bankruptcy procedure in the national airline due to the debt for taxes and contributions to the personal income of employees in the amount of €12m.

The Civil Aviation Agency performed an inspection in the MA and found irregularities in the maintenance of its aircraft.

Representatives of MA employees say that the work on planes, without defined responsibilities, is extremely dangerous. They add they will also contact the European Aviation Safety Agency.
