In less than a month, online appointments with primary care physicians were made by more than 500 patients. This appointment method is best accepted in the central part of Montenegro, mostly in Podgorica, the Health Insurance Fund told Dnevne Novine.
As the fund spokesperson Amer Ramusovic said, 550 citizens, mostly from Podgorica, scheduled appointments with their primary care physicians online by 3 October.
“More than 4,500 citizens of Montenegro took over their PIN codes from their primary care physicians… Patients are interested in the service in all cities, primarily in Podgorica, but also in Niksic, Pljevlja, Herceg Novi, Bijelo Polje…,” Ramusovic said.
He added that the appointments could be also scheduled at primary care physicians directly in health centres or via phone as before. Online scheduling is just an option to make the process easier.
