Investments in the municipality of Golubovci in one term of its administration exceed 15 million EUR as concluded by the Mayor of Podgorica, Slavoljub Stijepović.
“This visit to Golubovci shows that this part of Podgorica, and the entire Podgorica, represents a big construction site. Construction of the second phase of the by-pass around Golubovci is going according to plans. This is 6.3 million-worth investment and it is financed by the funds from the government and the capital city. Once this is finished, Podgorica and Golubovci will be connected with the modern road of a boulevard type with four lanes, separating island and sidewalks on both sides”, said Stijepović.
He added that the value of the recycle yard in Goričani, the first of that kind in this municipality, is 150.000 EUR and it will significantly contribute to the protection of the environment.
He also said that first section of the road Golubovci – Mataguži – Tuzi, 590 meter long, has been recently finished and it cost over 400, 000 EUR. It’s a modern road, with two lanes and sidewalks on both sides.
The president of the municipality Golubovci, Dušan Radonjić, said that they invested over 2,2 million EUR for the four years of work on the construction and reconstruction of the local roads. Beside that, additional 3,6 million EUR was invested in different segments with the aim of improving citizen’s quality of life. This municipality also initiated the project of education and responsible waste management , in cooperation with the non-governmental sector and „Čistoća“.
