The closing down of Montenegro Airlines (MA) is a political decision and all this looks to me like going back to the 1990s, when a number of companies and recognizable brands were closed, the representative of MA workers, Mr Miljan Perović, has told Dnevne Novine. According to him, the situation in MA was not idyllic even before the announcement of the company’s shutdown.
A certain dose of optimism was instilled in the workers by the management’s announcement that the planes could take off again on 21 January, but that didn’t happen.
In addition to the EU, the embassies of the United States, Great Britain, Germany and Croatia, as well as the Ombudsman, were informed about the situation in which these workers found themselves.
