Although the largest number of tourists is expected in July and August, in Budva one is already feeling that the season has already begun. Walking areas in the town are packed and beaches are full of tourists, most of them coming from Russia and Serbia, the news agency Anadolija reported.

Russians have traditionally been among the most numerous summer visitors in Budva. At every step you can hear the Russian language, and advertisements in Russian are at the busiest places in Budva.

One of those who enjoy the beaches of Budva is Tatiana from Russia.

“I come from Moscow, from Russia. I am here at a conference. I like Montenegro and Budva, since it is a very beautiful town,” Tatiana says.

A mini-survey conducted by the Anadolija news agency team showed that apart from Russian, the most frequent languages that can be heard in Budva are German, English and French.

A tourist from Ukraine has also been delighted by Budva.

“We came yesterday and I can say that this is a wonderful place – beautiful nature, the sea, and the people are great too,” he said.

In addition to Russians, most of guests in Budva are traditionally coming from Serbia.

“I come from Belgrade. It’s beautiful here. I come to Montenegro every year. I love our sea. Everything is beautiful, like a fairy tale. Montenegro has done a lot to improve its tourist offer and I think more and more tourists will come here,” a girl from Belgrade says.

She is also pleased with prices of services in Budva.

“I think the prices are affordable for guests. Of course, there are places, such as the old town, where the prices are slightly higher, but I think Budva fits every budget,” the guest from Belgrade stresses.

In addition to beautiful beaches, there are various amenities in Budva – an aqua park, cruise excursions, sports facilities and night life are just some of them.

Aleksandar from Podgorica has been engaged in transportation of tourists by boat for years. He points out that he has a lot less work compared to previous seasons.

“My feeling is that this season will be bad, unlike previous ones, but we all believe that it will be better. The prices are the same. Perhaps accommodation is a bit cheaper,” Alexander said.

Reporting on restaurant offer, the Anadolija agency stresses fish specialties, local cuisine and seafood. Owner of one of the most famous restaurants in Budva, Krsto Niklanovic, says that the season heats up, adding he hopes this will be a good one. He adds that Russian tourists are coming back and that prices are the same as previous years

When it comes to accommodation, prices vary depending on location. On average, private accommodation costs 10-20 per bed, while the prices of apartment renting are more expensive.

Prices of food and drinks are not changed much compared to last year. In fast food stores a hamburger cost 2, a drink 3-10 and a pancake 1.5.
