Stevan Stamatovic is likely to be hiding in Serbia, Pobjeda reports. He is wanted by Montenegrin authorities on suspicion of being the head of a criminal organisation plotting to kill Radojica Zekovic from Niksic
As Pobjeda’s source close to investigation said, Montenegrin security services are informed that Stamatovic is in Belgrade. They are intensively working on finding him.
For the time being, Serbian authorities have not officially confirmed that this fugitive is in their country. However, Montenegrin security services claim that he was seen in several locations there.
Stamatovic had a constant security guard escort in Montenegro. He left the country after his close friends had been arrested on suspicion of being members of the criminal group he had organised.
The group allegedly was supposed to kill Radojica Zekovic while he left the prison in Spuz for a weekend break in May.
