The introduction of electric buses would solve many issues concerning Podgorica’s transport currently not meeting the needs of the citizens, and the Capital has already been considering this option, Lazarela Kalezić of the Transport Department told Dan daily.
“Podgorica’s climate wouldn’t allow being restricted to just one kind of transport so it’d be good to make a combination. Cities having similar climate combine electric and gas fueled buses, or they have buses on some other alternative fuels,” Ms Kalezic noted.
She stressed that current city transport causes numerous problems, such as air pollution, and existing buses are old and not particularly comfortable.
