Flight route between Podgorica and Zagreb might open again, which would significantly improve cooperation between the two countries/cities. These were the outcomes of the meeting mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, had with the Ambassador of Croatia to Montenegro, Veselko Grubišić.
They both noted the relations between Montenegro and Croatia have been extremely close and friendly, which represents a good basis for deepening cooperation, especially among the local communities.
Vuković today suggested revising the idea of introducing direct flight route between Podgorica and Zagreb, and stressed that it would significantly contribute to further strengthening of cooperation between the two states.
In this context, Croatian Ambassador said he was going to discuss the matter with the managerial staff of “Croatia Airlines”, adding that it would be good to have flight connections with some other cities, such as Mostar, Tirana or Skopje.
Mayor of Podgorica emphasized Montenegro greatly appreciates Croatia’s strong support on the road to European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
