MNE coronavirus update: 3 deaths and 168 new cases

Another 168 cases of coronavirus were recorded in Montenegro today, while a further three people had died Sunday of the virus. The patients counted in today’s death toll were from Pljevlja, Nikšić and Berane. Meanwhile, 174 people beat the virus. There are currently 3.756 active cases, i.e. 596 infections per 100K people, the Public Health Institute announced.

“Labs of the Public Health Institute as well as private labs carrying out PCR diagnosis of the coronavirus have pulled 638 samples for PCR testing in the last 24 hours and detected 168 new cases,” the Institute announced.

New reported cases are from Podgorica 112, Ulcinj 15, Žabljak 10, Pljevlja 9, Bijelo Polje 8, Nikšić 4, Herceg Novi 3, Tivat 2, Bar 1, Berane 1, Mojkovac 1, Cetinje 1 and Kotor 1.

Figures show there have now been 257 coronavirus-related deaths in MNE from early June, i.e. 266 since the pandemic started in March.
