Progress Report is generally positive in tone

Momčilo Radulović
President of the European Movement in Montenegro, Momčilo Radulović, says that Montenegro can be satisfied with the EC Progress Report as it is generally very optimistic in tone, with several objective reviews of the areas considered critical .

“That primarily refers to the parliamentary dialogue in relation to the electoral process. The government and the opposition are required to commit even more to bringing the dialogue back in the Parliament. And then, there’s the area of corruption where additional effort in securing convictions in cases of high corruption are required. This leads to additional efforts in the fight against organized crime and implementation of judicial reform”, says Mr Radulović.

The Report sees the situation in the Agency for Prevention of Corruption as critical, just like it is in the area of media.

“This Report is starting to take on the shape of friendly advice-exchange between two subjects, where the first is trying to help the other to get better and become more successful”, says Mr Radulović.

“On the other hand, many aspects of our economic activities were seen as positive, and that’s another reason for optimism”, said Mr Radulović.
