Putin changes the policy regarding Montenegro?

Vladimir Putin

General State Prosecutor’s Office of Russia decided to respond affirmatively to the old request issued by the Special Prosecutor’s Office of Montenegro after the interrogation of the operatives of the Russian intelligence service (GRU), Eduard Shishmakov and Vladimir Popov.

This is the hint of the serious change of policy of Moscow towards Montenegro. The importance of this act isn’t in the mere statements of the Russian agents who denied being involved in the subversive action in Montenegro, but rather in the fact that the Russian authorities confessed that these person existed in the first place, that one of them has two valid passports with different last names and that they met with the cooperating witness, Saša Sinđelić, both in Moscow and in Belgrade. Therefore, one can conclude that Russia “let down” its political favorites since the accused and their defense attorneys claimed that Sinđelić invented the Russian people and the whole plot.
