Radojević and Lazović resign from the Crisis medical headquarters

Director of the Institute for Public Health, Dr Boban Mugoša, said at the press conference that several things had led to the worsening of the epidemic situation in Montenegro. He also said that Dr Nemanja Radojević, assistant director of the Clinical Center and Dr Ranko Lazović, head of the Crisis Unit, had resigned their membership in Crisis medical headquarters.

Worrying rise in infections

“Regardless of everything that is currently happening, measures are still in force. The situation is worrying. We should socialize less and avoid gatherings, wear masks and keep distance”, Dr Mugoša said.

Due to the events that have been taking place over the last 10-20 days, we can expect coronavirus cases to increase.

A total of 126 COVID-19 patients are under hospital treatment, seven of whom are on ventilators.

Asked if NCB will be given legitimacy having regard to the fact that some of its members have breached measures, Dr Mugoša said:

“NCB consists of people who belong to it on the basis of their knowledge and function and they are responsible for their own actions and are willing to answer questions you are asking”.

Dr Radojević said he had resigned from Crisis medical headquarters. Dr Ranko Lazović did the same.

Dr Mugoša reiterated we should adhere to these simple measures that would definitely produce results.

Radojević: We won’t resign in the Clinical Center

Asked if Dr Mugoša, Dr Radojević and Dr Eraković will resign from the Clinical Center, Dr Radojević categorically said no.

Clinical Center does not deal with parking problem

Dr Radojević said that the ramp of the CC “is open at 6 pm so that patients can enter and test for the virus”.

It is not up to the administration of the Clinical Center to deal with parking and investigate who bothered patients with sirens”, Dr Radojević said.
