Radovanović in Sofia: Every Balkan country should become EU member state

Every Balkan country should become the EU member state once it meets all the membership criteria, a secretary general of the Chamber of Commerce of MNE and co-president of the European Economic and Social Committee at the national level, Mr Pavle Radovanović, told at the meeting ‘High-level discussion on the Western Balkans: clear guidelines for further progress’ held in Sofia.

Mr Radovanović was a speaker at the panel devoted to the dialogue of civic society between the EU and the WB, along with high-ranking representatives of the EU, Bulgaria, Germany, North Macedonia, Albania and Serbia.

“The EU integration represents a precondition for the stability of the South Eastern Europe, its democratic and European prosperity. The EU is incomplete and vulnerable without the countries of South Eastern Europe”, he assessed.

According to him, the EU is making a geostrategic and historical mistake by slowing down and halting the negotiation talks and brings into question its credibility and reliability.

Apart from Mr Radovanovic, the speakers during the panel were Ms Mariya Gabriel, a European Commissioner for Innovation, Research and Culture and Mr Kristian Vigenin, a deputy speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament.
