Red Cross of Montenegro thankful to all those who have made a donation

The Red Cross of Montenegro has been actively providing support to the citizens affected by the coronavirus crisis. A total of 4.750 families have been assisted so far, whereas 2.900 of the most vulnerable ones received care packages. Volunteers went shopping for 950 people (the elderly, people with chronic illness, those with disability or the ones in isolation), while a total of 900 people received a psychosocial support.

During the first days of temporary measures for suppressing the spread of Covid-19, the Red Cross of Montenegro undertook activities immediately and delivered food and hygiene kits to the most vulnerable.

“We were trying to ensure donations as soon as possible in order to be able to meet the needs of a great number of citizens. That is why we’d like to use this opportunity to thank everybody who had made donations.“

They continued: “Special thanks to all individuals and groups who organized themselves and donated food and hygiene kits, as well as baby food and diapers, adult diapers, face masks for volunteers, etc. We’d like to express gratitude to Monteput company, as well as to the citizens who donated money.“
