Energy sector in Montenegro has an enormous potential and huge development possibilities, especially in the field of renewable energy resources.
Pointing out encouraging economic parameters and successful economic policy of the Government, Prime Minister, Duško Marković, said that, through credible foreign investment, we could value potentials in energy. In that context, interest WPD group showed is priceless. WPD is dominantly focused on development and financing wind farms.
Representatives of WPD group and Marković held a meeting today and they concluded that Montenegrin hinterland offered great possibilities for the construction of wind farms. The Government will work on identifying locations and creation of development opportunities.
Director of WPD, Andreas Sholl, said they wanted to invest in Montenegro and that they had enough knowledge and possibilities for that. They pointed out the benefits of the use of wind energy.
Marković said that Montenegro wanted to develop overall strategic partnership with Germany at both political and economic plan.
