Russians interested in Hipotekarna Bank

Žugić

An investor from Russia has been interested in Hipotekarna Bank, yesterday said the governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, CBCG, Radoje Žugić, emphasizing that the public will soon be better informed on this matter.

It doesn’t matter how much someone would pay for buying a bank, as we, first of all, need to protect all the current assets through funds of a potencial investor.

At the press conference organized on the occasion of the “Savings Week”: “There are two prerequisites that must be met: an investor’s reputation and enough cash flow to ensure enormous deposits from sources of funding of a potential investor.”

The CBCG, he added, performs daily monitoring over two banks due to liquidity and solvency deterioration, trying to recover them even though those banks are not systematically important.
