There are 48.006 guests who are currently stating in Budva. Around 47.802 are foreign guests, which is 15% less in comparison to the last year. The most numerous are guests from Russia, and then from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine and France, said Tijana Kotarac, spokesperson of the TO Budva.
As she reports, the greatest number of tourists chose private accommodation; to be precise, 33.983 persons, which is, again, considerable decline. Staying in a hotel accommodation is at the last year’s level.
“Smaller number of guests is probably a consequence of bad weather conditions. Besides, one of the reasons is the World Cup. Now when it’s over, we expect to overcome this “July hole” and finally enter the season with full occupancy”, said Kotarac.
According to the official data of TO, there are 26.395 tourists in Herceg Novi, which is 5% more than in the same period last year. The tourists are mostly from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Russia, and even from France, Norway, Sweden, Germany, USA…
The whole destination had better marketing, better collection of local taxes, and “Ibero Star Herceg Novi” and “Play” opened their doors after the renovation, and, therefore, Herceg Novi has new accommodation facilities.
The last Report of the Tourist Organisation, published on July 12, shows that there are 6.198 guests in all types of accommodation at Tivat Riviera, and that’s 17% more than last year. There are also more and more tourists in Kotor who arrive there by their own vehicles, with planes through airport in Tivat, by buses or via numerous tourist agencies.
Overnight stay with breakfast in three-star hotel during the season costs 50 EUR in a single room, whereas it’s 70 EUR in a double room.
In four-star hotels prices are very similar – in a single room, 110-195 EUR, whereas two persons would have to pay from 120 to 255 EUR. Apartments are more expensive, from 190 to 255 EUR. Prices in a five-star hotel prices range from 150 to 350 EUR, or from 300 to 700 UR per person, depending on the category of the room, occupancy and so on.
Beaches in the Riviera Bar are packed with people and the cruising season started off well too.
