Savana Group, owned by the businessman, Mr Veselin Mijač, is a new owner of the Montenegrin daily newspaper Dnevne Novine. In an ambitious business plan, Mr Mijač intends to redesign the printed Dnevne Novine, recruit new staff, launch a portal and TV with national broadcast coverage.
Dnevne Novine daily was set up back in 2011, and has been owned by the Media Nea Group of the Greek businessman, Mr Petros Stathis, since 2013.
The talks on handover between Mr Stathis and Mr Mijač have been taking place for several months and the two sides reached agreement in December last year.
Mr Mijač, who has been living in Sweden for decades, has so far invested in Montenegro over €50 million and has been recognized for his numerous humanitarian activities both in Sweden and our country.
