Scepanovic supports decision to dismiss Vukcevic

A DPS representative in the Parliamentary Administrative Committee Marta Scepanovic told CdM that she fully supported the decision to dismiss RTCG Council member Nikola Vukcevic, which Parliament adopted on 23 November 2017, upon Administrative Committee’s proposal.

As she said, it’s obvious that the decision of the Administrative Court issued on 15 December upon Nikola Vukcevic’s complaint serves as an encouragement to those who put pressure on the institutions on a daily basis.

“As well as to those who wrongly associated the Parliament’s decision to dismiss Nikola Vukcevic with the ruling of the Administrative Court, which has nothing to do with the Parliament’s decision on Vukcevic’s dismissal from the position of RTCG Council member,” explains Scepanovic.

As a reminder, the Administrative Court annulled the decision of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK), which assessed that the then member of the RTCG Council, Nikola Vukcevic, had conflict of interest as a public official.

Vukcevic says he was dismissed as a member of the Council because of a violation of the law that, according to Court’s decision, did not exist.

“Today’s decision of the Administrative Court confirms that the decisions of the Administrative Committee and the Parliament, as I earlier said, are absolutely illegal and that they were passed without a legal basis,” said Vukcevic.

As he pointed out, the apparent impatience of Administrative Committee’s leadership and their refusal to wait for a ruling of the competent Administrative Court before making any decisions and proposals to Parliament led to the situation that he was dismissed as a RTCG Council member.

“It was done because of the alleged violation of the law that the court determined did not exist. Bearing in mind the previous procedure, it can be expected that the Administration Committee will ignore the court’s ruling and act as if nothing happened,” Vukcevic said.
