SD councillors failed to appear at session: Voting on Cetinje mayor postponed

Cetinje has not got a mayor today because the session of City Council has been postponed for 10am tomorrow due to the lack of a quorum. Aleksandar Kascelan was supposed to be elected as mayor of Cetinje at today’s session.

Only DPS councillors appeared at the session.

The two Social Democrats (SD) councillors, Ivan Gazivoda and Ivan Ivanovic, did not come, as well as the representatives of SDP, the Old Guard LSCG coalition and the URA Civic Movement, who earlier announced that they would not attend the session.

Kascelan won a unanimous support from the municipal DPS Committee to be a candidate for the mayor a few days ago.

Kascelan has been the director of Montenegro Bonus since 2007, and before that he was a commercial director. He was also DPS councillor in the Cetinje City Council.
