SDP seeks dismissal for Minister Leposavić

The Social Democratic Party, SDP, launched an initiative urging dismissal for the Minister of Justice, Human and Minority Rights, Mr Vladimir Leposavić, through the parliamentary questions related to the implementation of government’s policies in the area of justice and human rights, the CdM portal has learned.

The SDP will forward the proposal for the interpellation, along with the proposal for the dismissal of the Minister, on Monday to all caucuses which recognize the Srebrenica genocide and do not challenge legitimacy of international courts.

“We expected that the Government would show that the Minister’s views denying the genocide and verdicts of international courts, were not its own. Contrary to our expectations, the Government backed Mr Leposavić’s views and stated that “some people can’t be genocidal while other are saints”.

“Contrary to Minister Leposavić, Montenegro officially recognizes both the International Court of Justice and the Hague tribunal,” the initiative says.
