According to current bookings and forecasts, the summer tourist season in Montenegro is progressing well and could outperform last year, says Nikola Pejovic, president of the Hotelier Association. Some hotels are fully booked through October and even November.

Lazar Mijac, operator of Drobni Pijesak beach, notes that tourists generally have no complaints about prices when the service is high-quality. He believes infrastructure and accessibility, including improved airport operations and connections with Italy, are vital for long-term tourism success.

Pejovic emphasises the importance of stabilising air travel from Israel, a growing source of tourists, with a 140% increase compared to last year. Bookings from other key markets, including non-European ones, are also rising.

While sunbed prices remain a common complaint, Pejovic and Mijac agree that offering good value and quality service is the best response. Pejovic concludes that satisfied guests and collective effort are the true measure of patriotism and a successful season.
