Damir Šehović

In the incoming months, around €20 million will be invested in the education infrastructure of Podgorica, said Minister if Education, Mr Damir Šehović.

“Ministry of Education is putting in efforts to education infrastructure and creation of optimal conditions for students and pupils. There are many facilities in Montenegro, and it is very difficult to maintain them all”, Mr Šehović said.

A great number of investment has already been realized. Over the last couple of months, dozens of projects have been carried out and they were all worth almost €800.000.

Reconstruction of the PE hall in “Oktoih” elementary school cost over €50.000. Reconstruction of one part of the classroom in Pavle Rovinski school cost around €30.000, and roof reconstruction in Vladika Danilo Elementary School cost around €15,000.

“Around €30.000 will be invested in the reconstruction of roof of the matrix facility. The confectionary of the school has also been reconstructed and it cost €30.000. Tender for the reconstruction of “Radovče” restaurant is underway”, Minister pointed out.

Mr Šehović reminds that interior in the Resource center of Podgorica has been adapted and cost around €30.000.

PLANS

The same investment tempo will continue not only in the Capital but in other municipalities that have same plans in relation to the reconstruction.

Reconstruction projects in Podgorica are worth over €750.000.

“Extension of “Štampar Makarije” school is a very important project for us. It will require around €200.000. Tender will be called in the next couple of weeks”, Mr Šehović announced.

It’s just one of the set of projects in Podgorica.

Plans are afoot for the reconstruction of Milan Vukotić elementary school and it will cost €200.000.

Milorad Musa Burzan school will see new stairs and so will Branko Božović elementary school.

Minister announces works in Radojica Perović elementary school and arrangement of garden in Vuk Karadžić school. Toilette and dressing room in Maksim Gorki school will undergo reconstruction.

Other schools that will see reconstruction are: Zarija Vujošević, Vlado Milić, Pavle Rovinski and Boško Radulović.

“Mogli” and “Đina Vrbica” kindergartens will be extended and will require around €80.000.

“Vasa Pavić” art school won’t be neglected either and will have internal installation reconstructed.

Interior of the “Slobodan Škerović” gymnasium school will cost €10.000.

“All together, we are talking about around 1,5 million for the finished reconstructions and 25 planned reconstructions”, adds Mr Šehović.

Investment in infrastructure speak enough in favor of the Ministry’s commitment to improving conditions for the youngest ones.
