Shares of Sveti Stefan exert dominance on the Montenegro Stock Exchange

Total turnover recorded on the Montenegro Stock exchange amounted to €2.891.928 in May and was by 97% higher than in previous month. Shares of Sveti Stefan were dominant in trading.

“Average daily turnover in May amounted to €160.663, 96% of which was recorded on free market. A total of 139 transactions were concluded in 18 days of trade. Average daily number of activities was 8”, Montenegro Stock Exchange representatives said.

“A total of €2.803.815 of turnover was generated from trading shares of 28 companies. Avreage daily shares turnover amounted to €155.768, while average daily number of tasks was 7”.

Sveti Stefan shares “sparked the flames”. In May, Sveti Stefan shares were sold for €2,5 million.

Jugopetrol shares came second and shares of Hipotekarna bank came third.

In February, Montenegro Stock Exchange published that shares of Sveti Stefan hotels and AD Budva were included on the Free market. Both companies have the same ownership structure. The government owns 41,63% of shares, AIK bank owns 15,23%, Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance has 12,82%. Employment agency and Stratex are also in the ownership structure.

Decline in the price of Eurofond shares

“On 31 May 2020, ZIF Trend had the highest market capitalization, €8.802.403. Prices of shares of ZIF Eurofond fell by 30,56%”, Montenegro Stock Exchange representatives said.
