According to unofficial information, former MP and longtime functionary of the Socialist People’s Party (SPP), Ms Snežana Jonica, is about to form a political party during November.
Some of the founders of SPP will join Ms Jonica.
“The basis of the new party will be a group of young intellectuals committed to the ideas of socially just society. Ms Jonica has support of a great number of SPP founders, former vice-presidents and presidents of municipal committees, councilors and members of the main and executive committee of SPP”, sources said.
Dan sources say that Ms Jonica is communicating with prominent individuals who haven’t been politically engaged so far because they couldn’t find themselves in any of the existing political parties.
Target group of the party is a great number of citizens who aren’t satisfied with the activities of the current opposition structure.
Ms Jonica withdrew from the political life after SPP decided to stand for the parliamentary elections in 2016 as part of the “Ključ” coalition.
