Preparatory works for the construction of Vojislavljevic Boulevard in Podgorica officially began today, marking a major step in resolving one of the capital’s most critical traffic issues. Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, alongside city and infrastructure officials, emphasised the project’s strategic importance for both the city and Montenegro as a whole.

The €14.5m project, co-financed by the Government (65%) and the Capital City, will span 3.2 km and include four traffic lanes, sidewalks, bike paths, and modern intersections. The boulevard is expected to be completed within 18 months, with works phased to minimise congestion.

Officials highlighted the strong cooperation between the national and city governments and confirmed that additional infrastructure projects are underway, including a bridge reconstruction and further highway developments to enhance national connectivity.
