New mandate of the European Commission is an opportunity for enlargement and Montenegro to join the European family – was a joint message following a phone call between the Prime Minister Milojko Spajic and the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.
PM Spajic congratulated Ms Kos on the appointment as the new European Commissioner for Enlargement, pointing out that Montenegro looked forward to collaborating with the entire European administration on its road to a stronger, more prosperous and united Europe.
“I am convinced this mandate of the European Commission would be remembered for the fact that enlargement became reality. Montenegro remains committed to doing its part of job with the ambition of becoming the 28th EU member state in 2028,” PM Spajic noted.
According to the prime minister’s office, Ms Kos said she was impressed with the results Montenegro had achieved on the road to the EU.
