Stano: No border changes in WB

Peter Stano

The European Commission, EC, spokesman Peter Stano said that the EC was not aware of the non-paper allegedly sent by the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Janša, to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, in which, as the media reported, he talked about border modifications to “finish the process of disintegration of the former Yugoslavia”.

“We definitely did not receive, had an insight or are familiar with such a document, so I cannot comment on the presumed topics of that non-paper,” says Mr Stano.

Asked about the EU’s position about changing borders in the Western Balkans, he notes that Europe is clear about it:  “When it comes to our partners in the WB and the border issue, nothing should change in that sense.”
