Ten to Eight – Dritan Visiting Jail and Monastery Robbery

You are reading a daily contextual review of the news that marked the previous weekend.

By Ljubomir Filipovic, CdM observer

After Democrats MP Zdenka Popovic hinted that a high-ranking government official visited a high-ranking criminal in prison, DPM Dritan Abazovic said that it was him and that his visit was part of efforts to solve the murder of Dusko Jovanovic. This was followed by violent reactions. Popovic then claimed that there was a plan for Abazovic to secretly see the prisoner in the hospital by falsifying the prisoner’s illness. Basically, in the negotiations for the new government, dirt is coming out on all sides and we are getting to know the essence of this government better and better. Davor Djenero wrote about why Abazovic’s visit to the prison was morally corrupt.

Monastery robbery

As in a medieval story – the monastery was robbed. Re-registered from the Old Royal Capital to the Serbian Orthodox Church. Although this is not yet published on the website, it was confirmed in statements for several media by the leaders of the Cadastre themselves. Koca Djurisic, the staff of the DF, has thus nominated himself for Spuz in some future period. His people from the DF celebrate him, the opposition reacted fiercely, and protests were announced in front of the government building in Podgorica at 6pm today.

Government translation of Escobar’s statement

As in the practice of the North Korean media, which, even when their national team loses matches, report that they have won, ministries and pro-government media mistranslate the statements of foreign officials. After DAS Gabriel Escobar confirmed doubts about the professional work of the security services of the new government in Montenegro, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense spoke out in order to explain to us what he really meant.

Sparks within the opposition

After the 21. Maj Civic Initiative’s official Rade Bojovic, in an interview for MINA last week, called for the withdrawal of President Milo Djukanovic from party politics, a sharp response from the DPS followed. I think it is not bad to show that there is a pluralism of ideas and attitudes within the sovereignist bloc as well.

Love, people!

The 9th Pride Parade was held in Podgorica on Saturday with the slogan Love, People. During the event, the government was invited to pass the necessary laws and bylaws that would enable the smooth implementation of the Law on Life Partnership. The parade passed without incidents, but with an inappropriate intrusion by the URA leader at the end of the parade.

Democrats’ nepotism

Namely, CdM finds out that the wife of the Democratic MP Dragan Krapovic, Sandra Krapovic, has recently been employed in the Coastal Water Supply Company. CdM has learnt that Krapovic’s wife told the employees that she would maintain social networks.

The Board of Directors of the Coastal Water Supply Company recently appointed Josip Djuraskovic, the Democrats’ official, as the executive director.

Another Democrats’ official hired a member of his family – a sister. Vladimir Martinovic hired his sister Jelena at CEDIS. Nikola Rovcanin also employed his wife in the Eco Fund.

URA still defending Sinjajevina

URA stands firmly with the locals and all citizens who have been protesting for years and fighting against the establishment of a military range on Sinjajevina and will remain so until their demands are met and until the largest Montenegrin mountain receives the status of a protected area in whose protection and management the local community will participate, URA stated yesterday.

Who is Marshal in Montenegro?

Gordana Djurovic, a professor at the Faculty of Economics, commented on the announced Marshall Plan – Europe Now for Al Jazeera Balkans.

We know very well what the Marshall Plan is – the program for the recovery of Europe after World War II, we know what the slogan Europe Now is – Slovenia ahead of accession. So, when you combine this, we somehow wonder who the Marshal in our case is. In 1948, it was known, and today it is unknown”, she pointed out.

That’s it for today. We wish you a pleasant rest of the day.
