Gjeloshaj as Well Sees that Dritan Has Made a Mess

It is good that Montenegrin society has shown resilience regarding the issue of constitutionality. It’s not that it wasn’t driven by it before, but the political will always prevailed. Both with Vujanovic’s third term, and with the amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government, which postponed the elections. We will see if the same will happen to the case now. Judging by the reactions of the domestic and international public, it is unlikely that the Front with its pendants URA and SNP, and the sedated Democrats, will be able to rule without elections.

As time goes on, URA is more and more turning from a king-maker party to a Front’s pendant. The position of balancing, which they had as a result of the 2020 elections, and recently on the wings of support from Albania and Serbia, is increasingly being questioned. Judging by Nik Gjeloshaj’s last statement, in which he calls the passing of the law on the president “a cringe”, it is evident that Dritan has only one wing left, with which he cannot fly.

Add to that the Summit in Berlin, it seems that the story is over with the Open Balkans. With yesterday’s agreement, OB lost its purpose of existence.

Also interesting is the Prime Minister’s statement from yesterday, in which he seems to have realized that he overdid it, so he backs down and offers an agreement regarding the Constitutional Court. But with him you never know until the end.

Velibor Dzomic, the Superstar

Velibor Dzomic, the favorite archpriest of security structures and structures of interest, never ceases to attract public attention. After he was filmed yesterday getting out of a luxury car with Belgrade plates in Podgorica, the question of his status regarding the ban on entering Montenegro was raised. It turned out that his name was not among the sanctioned citizens of Serbia, as was previously speculated in the public. At the same time yesterday, a photo of Dzomic with Artan Kurti, general secretary of ANB and friend of Dritan Abazovic, who, despite two criminal convictions for attempted murder and violence, was appointed to a position in the security service, appeared on the internet. In a photo from a few years ago, Kurti raises the Serbian salute with three fingers as a sign of greeting.

Joanikije keeps talking about the chapel

Now the chapel was not only demolished by the godless communists, but also by the Nazis, judging by the increasingly insane statements of the Serbian church vicar for the southern part of Montenegro, Metropolitan Joanikije. The Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian parties in Montenegro, as well as the state structures in which they took power, continuously and strongly put in the foreground the topic of building a chapel on Lovcen, which divides Montenegrin society.

Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica: Russia is concerned about threats to Zekovic

In the Twilight Zone we live in, the Montenegrin prosecuting authorities cede the case of the criminal prosecution of the Russian extremist Vladislav Pozdnyakov to the Russian authorities, known for their concern for human rights and democratic values. The public was informed about this by Sasa Zekovic, who was threatened by Pozdnyakov, and for which a criminal complaint was filed.

That’s it for today and this week. We wish you a pleasant weekend. See you again on Monday.

Kind regards,

Ljubomir Filipovic, CdM analyst
