Barricades in Tuzi

Tuzi mayor and the police patrol, instructed by the summer example of Budva, blocked the entrance to the town in order to prevent the police from carrying out the unfair order to close the hospitality facilities in this town. The decision is unfair because Tuzi is being punished for the bad situation in Podgorica for which they are not guilty. We remind you that the Tuzi mayor Nik Đeljošaj played a key role in curbing the situation in this municipality at the beginning of the pandemic.

Instead of appearing in Tuzi, the Government ignored calls from citizens and local leaders. After the Prime Minister broke his promise to come, and after Mr Abazović refused to come, Mr Đeljošaj went to the Government for talks and the Government relented and changed the measures and the decision will take effect as of Monday. Nevertheless, criminal charges against Mr Đeljošaj and associates for the criminal act of calling for resistance were filed as in the case of Mr Krapović in Budva.

While Mr Đeljošaj picked up the sympathies of minority parties and politicians from the state-building bloc, he was criticized by the PM, the interior minister and the leaders of the ruling parties.

Is our security sector leaking?

Pobjeda talked to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and the URA official, Mr Rade Milošević, about the formation of intelligence working bodies in which he is a member. It was pointed out that he, as a politician, is in the conflict of interest when it comes to controlling the security situation in Nikšić. Mr Aleksandar Saša Zeković also commented on the appointment of Mr Milošević and the fact that the Government is forming two operational teams in a short time and indirectly admits that foreign services are significantly present in Montenegro.

Pobjeda writes that a special team of NOS (NATO Office of Security) is staying in Podgorica with the intention of making sure whether the Montenegrin security sector implements measures to protect classified information and whether there has been a breach of the security protocol in the permits for access to classified information.

Minister Sekulović on Đeljošaj, citizenship, police crime

The ministers continue to be guests in Petar Komnenić’s talk-shows. Last night, Minister Sekulović, while a guest in Mr Komnenić’s show, expressed rather harsh views on Mr Đeljošaj, while he rather amicably commented on controversial initiatives of this Government, such as the one on liberalization of citizenship, leaving room for dual citizenship with Serbia. He fenced himself with a rather strange concept that citizenship doesn’t guarantee the right to vote in elections for those who have two citizenships. With so much flexibility, I’m afraid they might get dizzy. It is not a problem for Serbia to issue a Serbian citizenship again within a few months to anyone who renounces their citizenship for the purpose of receiving Montenegrin citizenship. They did this in the past.

SDT’s press conference

Special State Prosecutor Milivoje Katnić organized a press conference at which he introduced the public to the work and current issues. He also referred to Tuzi, stating that the war in Yugoslavia began in the same way. He talked about current cases such as the one related to real estate in the marine zone, but the story about the alleged illegal wiretapping of journalists and politicians by the ANB caught the most public attention. Since one of the allegedly monitored and wiretapped was Vijesti’s journalist Petar Komnenić, he announced a lawsuit against the state if this turns out to be true.

Who offered €21m?

After Mr Abazović said and denied that he was offered a bribe, and that it was just a joke, his MP Miloš Konatar, claims again that the bribe was offered in order to keep the DPS in power.

This statement by Mr Konatar was problematized by MP Raško Konjević, who dominates the war against Mr Konatar on Twitter these days.

“BIG THIEF”

This is how MP Nebojša Medojević called Minister Milojko Spajić in his post on social networks relating to the news about the increase of the ToMontenegro company’s capital. Mr Medojević said that he was ashamed for having voted for the Government with Mr Spajic as a minister. The minister didn’t seem to be upset by that, so he publicly flirted with a student of the Faculty of Political Sciences on social networks, and because of that, as a married man, he was condemned by Montenegrin Twitter users.

Montenegrin Palma

While many don’t give the movement led by Mr Miodrag Daka Davidović great chances in the elections in Nikšić, his campaign is becoming very noticeable.

After announcing the symbolic filling in of the Budoš tunnel, giving “€100” to each of the people in social need, renaming streets and squares in the names of saints, he now says that when he comes to power, he will erect monuments in Montenegro dedicated to Metropolitan Amfilohije.

So much for today. We wish you a nice weekend. See you again on Monday.
