Existing block of TPP in Pljevlja is much powerful than thought

TE Pljevlja

First calculations after the contract with the German company “Steag energy services” for the construction of conceptual project of ecological reconstruction of thermal power plant in Pljevlja show that the existing block has much bigger capacity than it was predicted, said the director of the company in Pljevlja, Vladimir Šestović.

In the last 36 years, the plant has worked 190.000 working hours and in the years to come, this block will be the backbone of the electrical and energy system of Montenegro.

“That’s something I always pointed out and I’ll do it again  now. When it comes to this type of equipment, it doesn’t matter the age but the hours it worked. In our case, that means that this equipment has much more potential than we imagined”, said Šestović.

As the main engineer for the maintenance of cauldron and technical administrator, he gave his expert opinion.

“By signing the contract for the conceptual project of the ecological reconstruction of the Plant, we’ve found out that this block has much more capacity than predicted”, said Šestović.
