There won’t be reductions in coal price

There won’t be any reductions in coal price for wider use in the forthcoming period, said the Director of the Coal mine, Slavoljub Popadić.

However, he promises certain benefits in the purchase of coal for heating. He didn’t speak about that since such benefits are probably in the planning phase.

“Coal from Pljevlja is a great combination of a small percentage of sulfur, with moderate calorie power and, as such, the demand for it in our region is huge. The market determines the coal price, and the current high level of demand shows that the price is reasonable. What we are thinking about now is to provide some benefits for the citizens of Pljevlja”, said Popadić.

One ton of coal costs 58 EUR.

According to the CEO of the company from Pljevlja, around 30 housing loans will be shared this year, but there are around 198 workers who applied for the loan.
