Three kindergartens and a pool to be built in Bijelo Polje

From 2017 to 2021, the Municipality of Bijelo Polje will implement 121 projects worth € 103,000,000in total. Local government will provide €15,400,000 of the sum. The remaining funds will be provided from the budget of Montenegro (€49,200,000), loans (€28,500,000), private investors (€6,400,000), donations (€2,600,000) and EU funds (€900,000).

This is stipulated by the five-year strategic plan of the municipality development that was adopted yesterday at the City Council session – 25 councillors supported the plan and three of them abstained from voting.

Vice president of the municipality Nemsa Omerhodzic said that priority projects include: Bjelasica, the Djalovica cave, with infrastructure that provides for the development of summer and winter mountain tourism and agriculture that encourages the development of tourism. They are €32,000,000 worth in total.

“We will also work on creating conditions for the development of industry and services through the implementation of five projects worth €2,400,000. The most important of them are refurbishing the business zone, the reconstruction of the bus station in Nedakusi and the closing of the city market,” said Omerhodzic.
