Three police officers were injured this morning in Podgorica in the incident which occurred after they seized cigarettes from a woman who was selling them near Gintas market. A woman was selling cigarettes without excise stamps.
The Communal Police of the capital has stated that P.G. approached to municipal police officers M.D., N.D. and I.DJ. while they were having supervision, threatening and loudly complaining about a “crackdown” on his wife’s illegal cigarette vending.
“After he hurled insults at municipal police officers, another man (N.P.) approached and they together attacked a police officer while he was performing his duties”, a statement told.
Injured municipal police officers were admitted to the Emergency Center and they sustained minor injuries.
