Montenegrin deputy prime minister Milutin Simovic and his Turkish counterpart Recep Akdag have signed a package of agreements and thus achieved results in the field of deepening and improving economic cooperation. The goals have been defined, which include three times increase in the volume of trade exchange and encouraging new Turkish companies to invest in Montenegro.
The officials signed agreements on cooperation in the field of forestry, agriculture and military industry. Montenegro and Turkey agreed that it is necessary to start negotiations on amending the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.
“We take care of business people, create business opportunities for them, present practice and standards to them. This will enable them to participate in fair competition conditions in the market,” Simovic said.
Montenegrin delegation which attended the meeting included the minister of transport and maritime affairs Osman Nurkovic, minister of health Kenan Hrapovic, minister of education Damir Sehovic and advisor to PM for foreign investments Vladimir Beratovic.
