The accident occurred when the driver of “Golf 5” ran into a big brown bear at the exit from a tunnel and hit it, the Portal Analitika carried.
Bear was about three years old and weighted about 200kg. It was killed on the spot and the driver, whose identity is unknown, sustained minor injuries.
The crash caused huge material damage to the vehicle.
The police conducted an on-site investigation.
The bear is among strictly protected species in Montenegro and it could be very rarely seen around Cetinje.
