Former foreign minister of Montenegro and US ambassador Miodrag Vlahovic will be the ambassador of Montenegro to the Holy See in the Vatican and the Sovereign Maltese Order, Dnevne Novine learns from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This long-time diplomat and the first foreign minister after Montenegro’s independence restoration is to replace current ambassador Veselin Sukovic, whose term of office expires at the end of July.
Vlahovic, who did not want to confirm or deny this information, was the first foreign minister of Montenegro who was in an official visit to the Vatican in December 2005.
