Vučić: Roćen’s recorded telephone conversations ordered by the then Serbia’s govt

Aleksandar Vučić

In an interview for Pink TV, Serbia’s President, Mr Aleksandar Vučić, told recordings of the telephone conversations of a former ambassador to Russia for the then joint state of Serbia and Montenegro, Mr Milan Roćen, were ordered by the then government of Serbia.

“Do you really think Russians did it and that they were interested in recording Roćen’s and Vuk Jeremić’s telephone conversations in those times,” asked President Vučić, writes the daily Pobjeda.

Russians, Mr Vučić added, were partly interested in recording conversations, but were not satisfied with what they got, as the Russian role in the process of restoring Montenegro’s independence was obvious.

President Vučić continued: “I don’t know whether it can be officially stated, but every person in this town knows that recordings were made by order of people from the then government, that is, Mr Pera –how they used to call Ranko Tadić.”
