Vuković: We are going to carry out many projects

Use your local communities as your main communication channel with the Capital as much as possible because that’s the best way to make an impact on the creation of policies and implementation of projects that are relevant to you, said the Mayor, Mr Ivan Vuković, while talking with the residents of Zagorič and Zlatica.

“Zagorič is the greatest challenge for us especially when it comes to the legalization of facilities. We’ve engaged to find the best possible financial solution in order to help people pay the land and the facilities”, said Mr Vuković and pointed out that bringing this complicated situation to n end was a priority.

“The biggest problem of this part of the town is traffic connection. Zagorič has increased drastically and is forecast to increase even more. That’s a great challenge for the administration as infrastructure fails to keep up with the demographic trends”, said Mr Vuković.

“We think that it would be best if the spatial plan of Podgorica completely changed”, said the Mayor.

Next year Zagorič is going to have sewers system as part of the construction of wastewater treatment system. Kindergarten in Zagorič will have sewers system tomorrow. Water pipe and sewerage system is going to begin construction of atmospheric sewerage in order to enable unhindered access to children and their parents.

Mr Vuković said he endeavored to solve the problems related to the lack of asphalt in a systemic manner, with the construction of functional, several hundred-meter long streets.

As far as the park-forest Zlatica is concerned, the Capital opted for the model of public –private partnership in order for this space intended for sport activities to gain quality. The Mayor pointed out that the Capital was faced with serious vandalism problems.

“Somebody destroyed the fence at the stadium of FC “Kom”. Also, artificial field which cost a lot has been burned down”, said Mr Vuković.

Mr Vuković announced two investments that might contribute to employment growth in this part of the Capital.
