Srđan Darmanović

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Srđan Darmanović, held today briefing with the ambassadors of the EU and NATO Member States and head of the EU Delegation to Podgorica.

Mr Darmanović informed the diplomatic corps about the situation provoked by the coronavirus pandemic, accepting new EU methodology and current affairs in relation to protests in several Montenegrin towns.

Head of the Montenegrin diplomacy said that Montenegrin institutions has passed a very difficult exam and demonstrated coherence in actions and managed to suppress spread of coronavirus.

Mr Darmanović expressed his gratitude to the ambassadors for their humanity, solidarity and generous donations.

In respect of the protests and mass violation of the health measures, Minister pointed out that the majority of Montenegrin citizens “don’t have to be exposed to serious health risk due to irresponsible behavior of the organizers and participants of protest gatherings”.

“We are very close to completely eliminating coronaviurs in Montenegro, but such negligent conduct might bring into que4stion everything we have done so far”, Mr Darmanović said.
