We must not boycott the Committee, says Rudović

Neđeljko Rudović

The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is not completely frank when it comes to dialogue, as it has been hiding the request of the Special Club of MPs to join the Committee submitted on 23 August, Mr Neđeljko Rudović, a member of the Committee on Comprehensive Reform of Electoral and Other Legislation and the MP, told Dan daily.

According to him, the DPS was familiar with the views of all the opposition entities, but didn’t want to hold the session of the Administrative Committee.

“The DPS does not take part in dialogue because it wants to reach the agreement and political stability of Montenegro, but because the international factor intervened. In my opinion, there are more reasons to try to reach the agreement than to leave the Committee or boycott it,” Mr Rudović said.

He continued: “We must have in mind the fact that the DPS cannot win the largest number of votes in fair elections and that they won’t implement everything we agree on. That is why the technical government represents the basic precondition for the elections. It’s just a model that enables us to fight for goals of the citizens of Montenegro who have already showed they want the democratic changes.”
