We’re open for constitutional amendments not tackling state’s core principles

Milošević

On the idea of amending the Constitution of Montenegro, political director of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) told Dan daily his party has been ready for any political dialogue not tackling the core principles of the state of Montenegro.

He said: “I firmly believe we have one of the best electoral legislation in the region, but I also believe the DPS would’t have been the proxy if it hadn’t believed in the Committee’s eligibility for doing this job.”

Commenting on possible constitutional amendments, the DPS official emphasized he’d rather not tackle the core principles of the state. “We said we wanted to talk about any issue not tackling the core principles of the state of Montenegro.”

As for the previously announced Forum for free and fair elections, Milošević said this topic should be discussed at the Parliament of Montenegro.
