Reconstruction of the critical point of the Kosljun-Zavala road section, one of the most traffic-carrying roads in Montenegro, is delayed because the contractor did not complete its part of the job. The Government is aware of the problem. That is why it terminated the agreement with the contractor, Podgorica-based Hidrocop company.
The €1.1m worth agreement was signed by the Ministry of Transport. The company from Podgorica started to work on 30 January last year and had 120 days to complete the job.
The deadline has been extended several times with the promise that the works will be completed. However, the company started facing financial problems in the meantime and was not able to fulfil the promises.
Therefore, the Government terminated the contract with it on 12 March.
