Kotor citizen Zoran Nikolic died during yachting regatta Islands of Boka, when a yacht called Tromb from Kotor, carried by strong winds and waves, stranded on the rocks near Jakup’s cave.
The tragedy occurred yesterday around noon.
The remaining members of the crew – one woman and two men were saved and transported to Miriste and then Tivat.
The dead body was recovered by the divers of the Regional diving center from Bijela.
“With the help of firefighters we managed to pull out the body of the man and then we helped doctors at the scene”, said director of the Center Vesko Mijajlovic.
Mijajlovic said that the yacht was in very bad condition.
Regatta Islands of Boka was stopped due to this accident.
