Montenegro’s Prime Minister, Mr Duško Marković, and the owner of Durmitor Hotel and Villas company, Mr Petros Stathis, laid the foundation stone for the construction of new “Durmitor” hotel in Žabljak. This project is worth €20 million. The facility is expected to employ between 80 and 120 persons. Resident of Žabljak will be given priority when it comes to employment. The entire project is expected to be finished in May 2022.
“We’ve promised that we are going to develop entire Montenegro. Thanks to “Durmitor” hotel, Žabljak will represent Montenegro as one of the best tourist and in investment destinations on the planet”, said Mr Marković.
Authorized representative of the company, Mr Goran Bencun, said that residents of Žabljak would be given priority in employment.
“We want people to stay here”, said Mr Bencun.
Mr Bencun said that the hotel would be working throughout the year. They will try to make “Durmitor” hotel as self-sustainable as possible.
National restaurant within the hotel will be supplied with home-grown food.
According to the announcements, world jet-set will enjoy the beauty of the “Durmitor” hotel.
The most expensive natural materials will be used in the construction.
Durmitor Hotel and Villas company, owned by Mr Petros Stathis, was founded last year. Its primary goal is to build and manage Durmitor hotel.
