The Railway Infrastructure of Montenegro, ŽICG, currently recruits 788 employees but the intention is to reduce employee turnover through redundancy programs and severance payments, explained the president of ŽICG’s Board of Directors, Safet Kalač, in an interview with Dan daily.

“Bearing in mind the complexity of jobs in our organization, new staff will definitely be needed, esp. in the construction sector,” said Kalač.

In 2017, the average net salary in the ŽICG amounted to EUR 405.16.

When asked about the existing debt of the ŽICG for taxes and contributions and salary contributions of employees, Kalač said that ŽICG’s request for reprogramming claims in the total value of €3.288m was adopted on 10 April 2017 by the Decision of the Tax Administration. This means this company has to pay 10% of this amount within 90 days from adoption of the Decision, whereas the remaining amount (€2.959m) should be paid in 60 monthly installments (€49,325.15/per month).

“So far, the ŽICG has settled all tax liabilities defined by the afore-mentioned Decision with no delays, and our current debt for taxes and contributions amounts to €2.327m,” concluded Kalač.
